Michigan-based CMS Energy announced deals to acquire two wind projects in the US Midwest totaling 250MW from developers Tradewind Energy and Starwood Energy, wasting no time after recently unveiling a proposal to add more than 5GW of renewables in the coming decade.
CMS, whose Consumers Energy unit is Michigan’s largest utility, will start by purchasing the 105MW Northwest Ohio wind project from Starwood Energy.
