MHI Vestas can remain competitive for “many years” with its current record-setting turbine platform, which can offer developers and investors a “reliable workhorse” as the offshore wind market enters a period of unprecedented global expansion, said new CEO Philippe Kavafyan.
Kavafyan said the 9.5MW version of its flagship V164 machine has now received certification, marking another step forward for a platform that is “still young”.
