Vestas has booked a 442MW turbine order with Xcel Energy, one of the frontrunners in US wind power expansion.
The Danish group will deliver V116-2.0 MW and V110-2.0 MW turbines under the order from the fourth quarter of this year, with a 10-year service agreement part of the package.
Over the last few years Xcel has emerged as a major backer of American wind expansion.
