Installation specialist Mammoet is getting ready to meet “the growing demand of the Australian wind market”, as it welcomed another new LG1750 crane to its existing fleet.

According to the Dutch group, wind farms in Australia are being installed at a greater scale in order to meet the renewable power targets set by the Australian government.

As a result, hub heights and therefore rotor blades, nacelles and tower sections are all growing taller, which subsequently requires larger cranes to carry out installation.
