The delayed Lake Turkana Wind Power project – Africa’s largest at 310MW – should be finished by September, according to a senior Kenyan official who said the country’s government and the project’s owners have reached a compromise over payments due for late completion of its transmission line.

Lake Turkana – an iconic project for renewable energy in sub-Saharan Africa – has been marooned for more than a year since lead plant contractor Vestas finished the wind farm ahead of schedule in March 2017.
