American Electric Power (AEP) has won additional support from customers in Oklahoma for its controversial $4.5bn Wind Catcher Energy Connection project, as the company awaits a ruling there by utility regulators to approve or reject it.

AEP subsidiary Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) said it reached settlement agreements on Wind Catcher with the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA); Oneta Power; South Central MCN, a subsidiary of GridLiance Holdco, and Tri-County Electric Cooperative.
