Iowa utility MidAmerican Energy announced a 591MW project known as Wind XII, following on its 2GW Wind XI development currently unfolding across the state, strengthening its position as a bellwether for the US renewables industry.
Wind XII is additional to the Wind XI development first unveiled in 2016, a MidAmerican spokesperson confirmed to Recharge. The project will likely be built across multiple sites, all of which will be in Iowa.
