Brazilian federal power holding company Eletrobras has set a minimum price of R$2.8bn ($790m) for the sale of stakes the company has in 967MW of wind power assets and in 1,000km of operating transmission lines.

The sale is scheduled for the first week of June and is part of a deep restructuring of the company’s finances and operations.

The 967MW of wind is made up of 59 special purpose companies (SPCs) that Eletrobras’ subsidiaries Chesf, Eletrosul, Furnas and Eletronorte have built in just over a decade.
