The wind industry is upbeat over the prospects for the end of the decade and sees big potential for digital technologies to benefit both the onshore and offshore sectors, according to new research ahead of the WindEnergy Hamburg event.

The organisers of the exhibition linked up with market research specialist wind:research for a survey of 700 industry experts.

The findings of the WindEnergy trend:index (WETI) show a view of the onshore market that is currently good or very good, especially in Asia and Europe – although the German sector gets a more downbeat assessment.
