UK-based renewable energy specialist Natural Power officially opened its upgraded control room facility in Scotland, as the ribbon was also cut on one of the facilities it manages – Fred Olsen Renewables’ 61MW Brockloch Rig Wind Farm.
Natural Power said its new £540,000 ($723,000) ‘ControlCentre’ is the UK’s largest independently-owned control room, operating 24/7 to manage 5GW at 175 renewables assets in Britain, Ireland, France and the US.
