Southern Company has entered into agreements with NextEra Energy to sell Gulf Power, the leading importer of wind power among regulated electric utilities in Florida, the two companies said.
Included in the deal is Florida City Gas and the entities holding Southern Power’s interests in two power plants. The transactions are valued at $6.475bn, including the assumption of about $1.4bn
