Wind set generation records during the first four months this year in the main Texas electric grid, surpassing coal for the first time in both March and April, according to Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).

Wind produced 25.11 million MWh of energy through April, smashing the previous record of 23.82 million MWh during the same period in 2017.
