Wind OEM Senvion has signed a deal with fellow Germany-based developer Energiekontor, to supply four MM92 turbines to the Withernwick II extension project - the UK’s first wind farm to be realised without government subsidies.
Based in East Riding in Yorkshire, Withernwick II will extend the original 18.45MW Withernwick wind farm commissioned back in 2016, by a further 8.2MW, taking the site to a total of 26.65MW.
