Pattern Development has bought the 1GW Mesa Canyon wind project and associated Western Spirit Transmission Line in New Mexico.
The development arm of yieldco Pattern Energy bought the twin projects – due in service by 2020 – from Clean Line Energy Partners for an undisclosed sum.
Mesa Canyon will connect directly to Western Spirit, a 345kV AC link that will run for 233km to connect to Public Service Company of New Mexico's transmission system at Albuquerque.
