The US could have another publicly-traded wind operator a few years from now, joining the ranks of companies like Pattern Energy and NextEra Energy Partners, as the newly formed Skyline Renewables grows towards its initial target of 3GW of capacity.

In March, French private-equity giant Ardian announced the launch of Skyline, a renewables developer and operator to be led by Martin Mugica, formerly the chief executive of Iberdrola Renewables (since renamed Avangrid Renewables).
