E.ON has completed a state-of-the-art North American Renewables Operation Center in Austin, Texas, where it will manage 3.6GW of wind and solar power capacity in its own portfolio and 3.9GW for other owners.
Services provided by the center include scheduling and dispatching of power, remote management of power and voltage in accordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, and offtake arrangements under various contracts.
