Digitalisation and the internet of things are bringing enormous opportunities but also some challenges to the wind industry, including the need to get field technicians ready for this next chapter, says Anne McEntee, vice president for services at GE Renewable Energy.
“At GE, with 3,500 field technicians, we’re really going through a big change-management process,” McEntee said in Chicago on Monday at Recharge’s Thought Leaders Roundtable on the impact of digitalisation on the US wind industry.
