TPI Composites has signed a multi-year supply agreement with Enercon for the vendor’s new EP3 platform turbines for wind markets in Europe, Turkey and elsewhere.
The 60-metre-long class blades will be manufactured at one of TPI’s facilities in Izmir, Turkey, with production targeted to begin in the fourth quarter.
The EP3 is a 3MW platform designed for sites with moderate and low winds respectively that are scheduled to go into production later this year and in late 2019.
