Sales and profits fell at Vestas in the first quarter of 2018 as the global onshore wind leader said “fierce competition” was driving down profitability in the sector.
The Danish group posted revenue of €1.694bn ($2bn) for the first three months of the year, a 10% fall on the same quarter in 2017, as net profit dropped to €102 from a year-earlier €160m.
