Iowa utility MidAmerican Energy has unveiled the next two projects in its Wind XI programme, and confirmed it expects the entire 2GW expansion to be completed by the end of 2019 – well before the production tax credit’s deadline.
Together, the Arbor Hill and Orient projects in Adair County will total 550MW, using at least 275 turbines made by Vestas.
