The wind industry dodged another bullet in Oklahoma after the state Senate failed to advance a bill that would have ended refundability of wind energy tax credits that will reportedly total $70m in the 2018-19 (1 July – 30 June) fiscal year.

The measure, which passed the lower House, would have taken effect on 1 January 2019.

Earlier this session, which is due to close on Friday, another bill stalled that would have placed an $18m annual cap on redemption of wind tax credits and a new $1/MWh tax on wind energy generation.
