Engineering outfits Principia and LIC have launched a joint venture to provide design and modelling services to the offshore wind industry, marrying Principia’s expertise in floating technology with LIC’s background in jacket and monopile structures.
Principia brings to the table fully-coupled aero-elastic modelling techniques for both fixed and floating structures, while LIC has developed in-house software for the efficient analysis of monopiles.
