UK energy regulator Ofgem has granted a licence to Diamond Transmission Partners (DTP) to operate the £193.9m ($235m) transmission link at Orsted’s 258MW Burbo Bank Extension wind farm, off northwest England.

DTP, a consortium comprising Mitsubishi Corporation and HICL Infrastructure Company, was chosen last July as the preferred bidder to run the link as part of Round 4 of Ofgem’s offshore transmission owner (OFTO) system.
