The Nordex group has launched an extension to its Delta4000 series with a larger rotor blade to cater for strong wind locations in north-western Europe, such as the UK and Norway, and also Turkey, Australia and markets in Latin America.
The N133/4.8 will keep the hub and nacelle of the N149/4.0-4.5 models the OEM had presented last fall, and combine them with a 133-metre rotor that had already been proven in the N131 turbine, which allows the manufacturer to boost the maximum output of the new model to 4.8MW.
