Orsted will build and operate a 20MW battery storage project near Liverpool in the UK, the Danish utility’s first venture into large-scale storage.
The Carnegie Road project is expected to be operational by the end of this year, and will be used to provide services to the UK's National Grid to help manage grid stability during changes between peak and low power demand.
