Walmart recently reached agreement with developers Engie and Geronimo Energy to purchase 1.26 million/MWh of electric power annually from two wind farms they will construct in the US state of South Dakota, the giant retailer told Recharge.

With Walmart as a firm customer, Geronimo will now seek final regulatory approvals for its 150MW Crocker project and Engie will do the same for its Triple H facility with the same nameplate capacity.
