Chicago-based Invenergy on Tuesday filed a suit against Poland’s government seeking relief through international arbitration in a case involving alleged failure by utilities there to honor binding long-term power off-take contracts with wind farms owned by the company.
Invenergy filed the Notice of Arbitration under the United States-Poland Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT), citing violations of its rights as a foreign investor.
