The supervisory board of Innogy has appointed Uwe Tigges as chief executive of the German utility on a permanent basis.

The company’s former human resources and labour chief has already worked as CEO on a temporary basis since the departure of former CEO Peter Terium in late December that came after Innogy had to issue a profit warning for 2017 and said it expects even lower profits this year.
