The first of four jacket foundations has been installed on Orsted’s giant 1.2GW Hornsea 1 wind farm, located 120km off the Yorkshire coast in the UK North Sea.
Italian heavy lift contractor Saipem is installing all four jackets and four topsides for the three substations and a reactive compensation station for the wind farm using its heavy-lift vessel Saipem7000.
