Pennsylvania lawmakers have introduced legislation (HB 2132/SB 1140) that would require the industrial state to devise a plan to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Pennsylvania’s bill is groundbreaking in that it is the first of its kind in the country to be introduced with a Republican legislator as its chief sponsor – Charles McIlhiiney in the Senate, along with Democrat Representative Chris Rabb in the lower house.
