Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has reached a deal with employees' representatives to reduce its workforce in Germany by 213 by the end of next year.

The job cuts are part of a restructuring programme announced in November 2017 and aim at reacting to increased competition and price pressures in both the onshore and offshore wind power industry.

The German job losses will affect mostly employees in Hamburg and Bremen, and follow on from cuts in the US and Canada.
