Element Power said the North Irish Sea Array (NISA) is in pole position to join the first wave of major Irish offshore wind projects, as it took over development of the up-to 750MW site from faltering local group Gaelectric.
The deal marks Element Power’s first offshore wind investment, and comes as the so far stalled market for development off Ireland’s shores shows signs of stirring.
