Four bidders have stepped forward in Saudi Arabia’s 400MW debut wind power tender, according to reports from the Middle East nation.

Projects led by local player Acwa Power and European giants EDF, Enel and Engie have submitted bids, said regional business news provider The National quoting officials at the Saudi energy ministry.

The 400MW project will be built at Dumat al-Jandal in the oil-rich kingdom’s northwestern al-Jouf province.
