Troubled UK fabricator Burntisland Fabrications ( BiFab ) has been taken over by DF Barnes, a subsidiary of Canadian industrial construction group JV Driver, in a deal brokered by the Scottish government.
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said new investment had been secured for BiFab and its yards at Methil and Burntisland in Fife, and its Arnish facility at Stornoway in the Western Isles.
