Siemens Gamesa has received an order from Spanish utility Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables to supply 166MW of wind turbines for four developments in Spain allocated as part of an auction in May 2017.
Siemens Gamesa will commission 48 of its SG 3.4-132 turbines in mid-2019, and also operate and maintain them for three years.
The blades for the turbines will made in the Aoiz factory in Spain’s Navarre region and its Tangier factory in Morocco, while the nacelles will be manufactured at Ágreda, in Spain’s Soria region.
