Citi will supply wind energy from the 200MW Flat Top facility in central Texas to fully power QTS Realty Trust’s massive data centre west of Dallas for a 10-year period.
Citi did not release financial terms of the deal which includes renewable energy credits. It did say that the 700,000sq foot (65,032sq meter) data center in Irving will utilize 15% of Flat Top’s electricity output.
