The Bay State Wind joint venture between Danish utility Ørsted and local utility Eversource has entered into an agreement with German steel pipe maker EEW to set up a facility to manufacture offshore wind components in the US state of Massachusetts.
Setting up manufacturing would depend on the Bay State project emerging victorious in the state’s current request for proposal, though, an Ørsted press official told Recharge.
