Two development groups – Deepwater Wind, and Ørsted and its partner Eversource – confirmed they’ve bid 200MW projects into Connecticut's offshore wind request for proposals, as another New England state throws its weight behind the emerging US offshore wind market.

Amid a groundswell of ambition for offshore wind in the northeastern US, the state of Connecticut earlier this year issued an RFP for up to 899,250MWh of power to be delivered annually from offshore wind, fuel cells or anaerobic digestion.
