Norwegian offshore installation contractor Fred Olsen Windcarrier has sealed a cooperation agreement with American outfit Falcon Global to operate “a full spread” of vessels for the rapidly emerging US offshore wind market.

Windcarrier, which handled installation of the US’ flagship offshore array, Deepwater Wind’s 30MW Block Island, will contribute units including the Brave Tern and Bold Tern jack-ups, while Falcon Global, a subsidiary of Seacore Marine Holdings (SMH), has a fleet of “feeder-solution” vessels led by one of the largest existing US-flag and Jones-Act compliant lift boats.
