If all goes well, Swedish utility Vattenfall in four to five years will have built the world’s first offshore wind farm without subsidies in the Dutch part of the North Sea.
That is “excellent news for Vattenfall and the Netherlands,” the company’s chief executive Magnus Hall said, and much of the wind power industry is cheering in social media.
But is it really? And for whom?
The case is clear for the Netherlands.
