Enel Green Power North America scored an expanded corporate power-purchase agreement with Facebook for its 320MW Rattlesnake Creek wind project in Nebraska, with the social media giant to gradually expand its off-take until buying the project’s full output by 2029.
In late 2017 developer Tradewind Energy, EGP’s long-time partner in the US, suddenly revived the dormant Rattlesnake Creek project in northeastern Nebraska after securing a bundled 200MW PPA with Facebook to power its new data centre in the state.
