Public utility Elektroprivreda HZHB has opened what it says is Bosnia & Herzegovina’s first wind farm, the 51MW Mesihovina wind park in Gornji Brišnik in the municipality of Tomislavgrad.
The wind farm features 22 Siemens Gamesa SWT-2.3-108 turbines that are slated to churn out 165.17GWh per year, or 10% of the utility’s total generation.
Siemens Gamesa last month announced another order for a project in Bosnia & Herzegovina, the 36MW Jelovaca wind project in the north of the country.
