Danish developer European Energy Group has bought the 21MW Sprogø offshore wind park from state-owned Danish infrastructure company Sund & Bælt.
The wind farm has been in operation in the Great Belt between the Danish islands of Zealand and Funen since 2009.
“This is an important step into offshore wind for European Energy. The wind farm is an attractive asset and it will furthermore provide insights into the operation and maintenance of an offshore wind farm,” European Energy chief executive Knud Erik Andersen said.
