French wind energy association FEE has rebuked the country’s government for proposing changes to the tendering system in the country that it argues would “penalise” the sector and could impact negatively on future onshore and offshore projects.

The criticism comes after said the government said it wanted to “renegotiate and possibly cancel” offshore wind projects off France’s north-west coast totalling a combined 3GW of capacity, a move that could jeopardise projects won in 2012 and 2014.
