The UK government will reject calls to extend an October subsidy deadline for Scottish floating wind projects, energy minister Claire Perry told Recharge.
The minister’s comments appear to dash hopes of those in the industry who claim Scotland’s status as a floating wind pioneer is at risk – but avoid potential legal action from others in the offshore wind sector if subsidy rules had been changed “mid-game”.
