With an output of 1.5 terawatt hours of electricity, the 400MW BARD Offshore 1 array in the North Sea last year was Germany’s most productive offshore wind farm, its operator Ocean Breeze Energy said.
That was an increase of 13% when compared to 2016, and enough to power the annual consumption of 430,000 average households, equivalent to the energy demand of a city the size of Frankfurt.
