Vattenfall will participate in Germany’s recently launched 1.6GW offshore wind tender with projects in the North Sea, but the Swedish utility’s chief executive Magnus Hall told Recharge that he has doubts whether a continued big expansion of offshore wind is possible in an era of zero subsidy outcomes.
The company has some projects it “will bid with” in the German tender for pre-developed offshore projects, Hall said without giving further detail.
