American Electric Power has unveiled a strategy to add almost 8.4GW of wind and solar generation resource to its multi-state service territory by 2030, one of the most ambitious efforts by a major investor-owned US electric utility to transition toward cleaner energy sources.
AEP’s renewable portfolio now includes 4.198GW of wind and solar.
The plan targets adding up to 5.295GW
