GE seals 360MW wind turbine deal with Engie in Brazil

GE Renewable Energy has sealed a 360MW turbine order for Engie’s Umburanas wind complex in Brazil.

The US OEM will supply 144 of its GE 2.5-116 machines to the French energy group’s project in the state of Bahia.

GE Renewable Energy is already equipping the adjacent 327MW Campo Largo I wind farm for Engie, which has a potential 1.3GW-plus of potential development in the Umburanas and Sento Sé region, said a statement from the turbine OEM.
