Italian utility Enel has signed a deal to acquire five wind farms with a total capacity of 132MW located in Catalonia and Galicia.
The deal agreed with Spanish companies Elawan Energy and Genera Avante is for a price of €178m ($222m), including debt repayments. The agreement via local renewables arm Enel Green Power Espana brings its share of the Spanish wind power market to almost 8%.
